Sneak Around in Your House At Night

It`s 2 A.M. and you want a snack, but how do you sneak in and out of your kitchen? Read on to find out.

Steps

  1. Learn to sneak well - Sneaking is a pseudo difficult task, generally, you will need to be crouched at about 2/3 of your normal height. Another thing, is walk heel to toe, in very long footsteps.
  2. Make sure you are safe to sneak - If someone is awake, wait. This is the normal problem many face, they do not wait for everyone to be out cold.
  3. Plan everything out - If you make it to your destination, remember what you were going to do. Don't just wing it.
  4. Know what to grab - If you are getting something in cellophane, be beyond careful. Cardboard and paper aren't hard to grab and go, but cellophane tends to be loud, be careful. If you're going for something in the fridge, be sure to open it slowly. The microwave is loud also, so try not to slam it. And if you use it be sure to stop a few seconds before the beep.
  5. Follow step one as you approach your room, this applies either way.
  6. Finished.

Tips

  • Think about the time, generally, it is safe at about 2:30 A.M. But it varies, especially if you live with roommates, rather than parents.
  • Watch videos, listen to music, play quiet games, and watch horror or action movies when waiting, you don't need to fall asleep!
  • Avoid wearing flip-flops, sandals, heavy boots, or high heels as they tend to make a distinctive sound as you walk.
  • Walk near the walls as much as possible. Overtime, the middle boards will get worn out and creak, but the boards near the walls stay strong.
  • If you have a bro/sis wait until they feel sleep. They could tell on you.
  • If you get caught say "I was just getting water" or " I couldn't sleep".But don't use the same excuse everytime they will get suspicious.
  • Try to wear clothes that won't make any noise.
  • When sneaking around at night, try not to wear bright clothing. Go for a black or dark blue color.
  • Be cautious when you open cabinets, since they may make very loud squeaks.

Warnings

  • Watch for pets, you don't want to step on Fido's tail and wake the house!
  • Don't attempt this if your others are jumpy or paranoid, and own a weapon.
  • If you wake up pets before hand so they don't think you're an intruder, they may follow you if you have food!
  • Never do this to steal or prank, especially with violent peers.

Things You'll Need

  • Something to keep you awake, anything.
  • Memory or map of house layout.
  • Food or other item to get.
