Survive Nazi Zombies on Call of Duty: World at War
Are the Nazi zombies killing you before you get to double digit rounds? Here are a couple ways to get up to about round twenty.

Steps
Surviving with Power Weapons
- Hold off the Nazi zombies (2 PLAYER).
- Begin in the first room by assigning specific areas to specific players. For example, one player covers one window at one end, and one person covers the other window near it. The middle window can be checked by both Players should start off by purchasing a weapon from the wall as the pistol does little damage. Some people prefer the KAR 98K as it is more powerful, has longer range and with only 5 shots you really make them count. However, experienced players might want to go for the carbine. Fend off the zombies by shooting through the windows, taking them out at as far a distance as possible.
- By the end of rounds three, four, or five you will probably need to visit the HELP room, to gain better weapons. To have enough time to visit the room, you'll want to employ a tactic sometimes referred to as "The last zombie". For this tactic, one person keeps the last zombie alive so that the other has time to run to the HELP room, and also board up all windows. Then the other person keeps the zombie alive while the other goes to the HELP room. To keep the last zombie alive, either keep boarding up the window as he tries to rip it down, or just run around to avoid him. The point of keeping one zombie alive is to delay the arrival of a new wave. Once both players have done what they need to do for the next round, the zombie can be executed.
- Now that the HELP door is open, one player should have 3 windows, while the other has 2 windows and the help door to guard. Although it is a good idea to board up windows in the room that you are in, you should not board up windows in the HELP room, as this will lead to an entire wave of zombies coming through the help room at once rather than trickling through.
- WEAPONS Weapons are you own personal choice but always try to get the ray gun. The combination of ray gun and a heavy machine gun has been said to work well. In the absence of the ray gun, a powerful rifle to pick off zombies at long range is recommended, along with a medium range machine gun or shotgun to take them out while they are inside.
- Remember you are given 2 grenades per round so use them.
- As you get higher in the game levels, it has been advised to go upstairs and go to the room directly above the room where you start. This is because there is only one doorway and one window entrance, so it is easier to slay zombies entering. Using this technique, some people have been known to get as far as Level 19. Of course, once you are in this room, it is impossible to leave without employing the "last zombie" tactic. You must hope for good power ups to give you more ammo, or insta-kill to slay zombies instantly. Only use a nuke if you need it, as it means that you don't get points. When you have gotten upstairs all you need to do is there is a grenade buying spot on the wall, crouch, walk up to it, and check if you can stand. If you can't stand it should keep the zombies away or at least delay them when they get in. But if the zombies overflow they will get past the imaginary wall. and always get a max ammo when you find one, especially if your ammo is under 100 for ANY gun
- Remember communication with your partner is quintessential. Always let them know what you are doing and where you are, and of course, try to time your reloading so somebody is always firing. Teamwork is key to victory in this game.
- The idea is to get the power weapons early in the game. Try to get any of the following: Ray gun deployable mg42 deployable browning magnum as early as possible. You need to maximize the amount of points you can get from each zombie early eg shoot the zombie 4 times in the torso and then knife it. Only do this at round 1-2 when you need points. It is not a good idea to get the kar or carbine as these quickly become obsolete on the higher rounds. The ideal weapon combo would be a ray gun due to its ammo capacity and damage rate, and the mg42 for its ammo capacity and rate of fire. I suggest going in the corner with the grenades because when you have limited ammo, you can chuck grenades and they are relatively cheap. The good thing about this area is that you don't need to look behind you and there is only two possible enter points: a barrier to the right and a door straight ahead of you. With two people be very cautious of the barrier area as the zombie could catch you unaware and kill you. The only downside is that it is difficult to purchase random weapons and you will need to sprint downstairs if you want a new weapon.
Two-Part Coordination
- If playing co-op let player 1 take all the zombies for round 1 and at the end of the level open the help room. Don't buy the Kar98 or M1A1 Carbines there will become useless in later levels. For the most points on level 1 shoot the zombies with the pistol 8 times in the legs, let then break down the window, knife them and rebuild the window. If your good, player 1 should have close to 1800 points by the end of level 1.
- After level 1 player two should start killing zombies. For the most points, shoot the zombies 8 times with the pistol anywhere except the head, knife and rebuild windows. From this point forward, go to the mystery box every time you get 950 points until you either get the Ray Gun, Mg42, Browning, or flamethrower.
- After level three you should be shooting the zombies through the windows and should be knifing or getting head shots. The pistol becomes useless after round three. Hold out in the main room till level 6, by then you should have the guns I mentioned earlier.
- At the end of round 6 the waves of zombies will be to big to handle in the main room unless your really good players. At the end of level 5 the player with the most points or better guns should open the upstairs in the MAIN room. On level 6 the person who has better guns or is better at evading the zombies should go to the main room and run around the pillars to the right, next to the window with bars. The other player should be next to the mystery box, shooting the zombies that come his/her way. The player in the main room should make it a point not to focus on a single zombie cause one could very well sneak behind you. The whole point of using the pillars is that it groups the zombies in a way that you could flame em all at one, but a zombie can break from the group if your to careless.
- After level ten, if you did what I told you to do, you should all have good weapons like ray guns and heavy machine guns. If you don't then keep doing what I told you to do last step. If you do have all good weapons you should go up the main room stairs and into the back of the upstairs with the huge sight line. There will be a thin wall separating the back of the room into two sections. One player should go to the Left side with the wall at your side and about a quarter of the way inside the left side of the wall, basically have a wall on either side of him/her. If you don't, the zombies WILL come at you from the right side too and that will be very bad. The other person should guard the one window in the back and be responsible for keeping the last zombie. The person in between the two walls will take most on the burden of the zombies so reload whenever you can.
- If playing three player then assign one to the window and the other two to go between the two walls, while one reloads the other will fire and finish his/her clip and the first person will fire and so on. If with for players, assign one to the windows, put two people to the walls, CROUCHING while a MG or browning is behind them covering fire if something goes wrong
- One and a while players should switch spots so others can score points and to give a break to those low on ammo
Tips
- During in high levels above 10,max ammo appears in one of the zombies you kill for the next 2 or 3 rounds.
- When applying the last zombie tactic, try to make sure it has no legs, as this will slow him down. But make sure you don't miss, or you will have to wait.
- When you get in the help room try to get a good gun like raygun and then a fast reloading machine gun.
- For the first 2 rounds you could knife the zombies as that gives you more points.
- One of the best tactics is to open the help room then hold out there for like 4-5 rounds then go upstairs through the help room stairs then go in the second room to the hand grenade room and camp there, because most zombies will come at you the door right in front of you and occasionally through the window on your right.
- If you get a ray gun in rounds 6 or 7,save it for later if something goes wrong or there's too many zombies and harder to kill.
- Teamwork is a must to success in this game! Do not open doors without everyone's consent! If you do, it could lead to your unfortunate downfall!
- Usually unless you want to fail easily, don't open the main room stairs, instead go to the help room, as it also contains the Mystery Box
Warnings
- If one of your guys gets incapacitated later in the game, there will be little chance of reviving him due to the sheer amount of zombies.
- If one of your guys or players gets downed and too many zombies are all around, just leave him there, there is no other way but if he gets the ray gun, revive him as you possibly can or get covering fire while reviving a teammate.
- Never get overconfident when using any glitch, especially at a high level. And when you get flame thrower, use it to help kill zombies faster. Do not just kill them unless you have an instant-kill.
- When you're surrounded, try to stick together upstairs close to the grenades. If one of your teammates got a ray gun or you,use it to make it easier to kill zombies in higher levels.
