Take Random, Fun Pictures

Have you ever wanted to take pictures but just didn't have anything good to take a picture of? That's no longer an issue.

Steps

  1. Take really close up pictures. Inanimate objects are pretty good for this. An Orange, a light switch, a keyboard, just whatever it is, zoom in!
  2. Take photos of photos. This sounds extremely dumb but think for a moment, have you ever seen a really great photo or framed picture that you wished you could have been there taking the photo?
  3. Take pictures of other people taking pictures. This type of photo is fun to look at. Try having 2 people take a picture of each other at the same time. (with the flash off of course, or it won't work).
  4. Try to take a picture of something "levitating". This is extremely challenging and is not just a 1 shot picture. This may take over 50 shots before you finally get it right, so definitely use a digital camera for this trick! Also, use something that is light in weight, such as a balloon or a beach ball. The camera flashes at least 3 seconds after you press the button, so you want something that will stay up in the air for that long. If you are just starting out, use something like a balloon, or even photograph a soap bubble until you get the timing right. Patience is a virtue, and it pays off!
  5. Take pictures of bright things. Remember the brighter the better! Take something that is really bright, say, yellow shoes, and put it up against a black carpet and the shoes just pop out! Its just like seeing the sun at night!
  6. Use black and white photos to make something look old. Then, if you want to make it look even older, use Photoshop! (or something similar) It may be interesting to take a picture of something like new electronics and make the photo look really old and outdated. You never know what it may turn out like! Sometimes Black and White photos can also look more artistic than color photos. Portraits and buildings look amazing in black and white, if you get the right background, it gives a vintage look. Remember, just take pictures of random things, anything that catches your eye!
