Watch Movies on a PlayStation 3

Watching movies on your Playstation 3 (heretofore referred to as PS3), is simple.

Steps

DVD/Blu-ray

  1. Start up your PS3.
  2. Log in if needed.
  3. Put your DVD or Blu-ray disc into the PS3.
  4. Start the movie. Normally the movie should start itself. If not, go to the video section in your XMB menu and press the X button on the title of your movie to start it up.

Netflix

  1. Start up your PS3.
  2. Log in to the PS3 Network.
  3. Install Netflix.
  4. Setup your account.
  5. You get a one-month trial, but you still need to enter credit card information.
  6. Choose your film, and start it.
  7. Enjoy!

USB Flash Drive

  1. Plug in a USB flash drive with movies on it.
  2. Start up your PS3.
  3. Go to the video section in the XMB and load the film you are going to watch.

Tips

  • The most important thing is to have fun, grab popcorn, hot cocoa, whatever.

Warnings

  • Remember that Netflix charges you, and also takes up space on your PS3.
