Steps
- Try to sit as far front in the boat as possible. Especially in light wind. This will keep more of the front of the boat in the water instead of the back which will help you Aerodynamically. It will also help you go across waves.
- When you are going downwind pull the daggerboard up as high as you can. DON'T DO THIS GOING UPWIND OR YOU WILL BE PUSHED AROUND!
- Get a good start. A good start is a good race. Before the race starts fight for the position right by the starting line. As the start time gets closer turn sharper.
- When going around marks, wait until you are sure the boat can get around it before turning. It can ruin your whole race if you get stuck at a mark.
Tips
- Motorboats can be annoying sometimes. They sometimes get in the way of the race just to look at the sailboats. Just calmly tell them they are in the way.
Warnings
- Don't sail during a thunderstorm because lightning will come down the mast.
