Write a Note on Facebook

Do you want to set up a blog, but don't have the courage to set one up on those other major blog sites? As long as you have a Facebook account, you can create one there instead. Follow the directions in this article, to find out how to create a note for your friends.

Steps

  1. Open your web browser and visit the Facebook website.
  2. Click into the search box at the top of the webpage and type the term "Notes" into the page. You'll find an app called "My Notes" with an icon like a sheet of notebook paper. (You can more easily find this app, by browsing right to the Notes application itself.
  3. Authorize an App to Connect with Facebook the application for use.
  4. Click the "Add Note" button that is just towards the top right of the page.
  5. Type a good title for the blog posting.
  6. Type a body paragraph or letter about whatever you want to write about.
  7. Scroll down on the page, to include some "tags" that make your posting be found easier by your friends.
  8. Add a few photos about your event or whatever you've talked about in the posting (if applicable), by clicking the "Add a photo" link-button from that same page.
  9. Try to decipher who has access to read this specific note.
  10. Click the "Publish" button to save your work. Once published, a status message saying that you've published a Note will appear on your Wall/Timeline.

  • When you first arrive at the Notes application page, you can read some sample Notes your other friends have written.
  • Only a small amount people use the Notes app anymore.
  • You can use bold print, italic print, underlining, bullets or numbered bullets, or you can even quote someone else's posts.
