Write a Report on Paul Revere
Before you can write the report, learn who Paul Revere was, and what he did. You will have to research him on the Internet, in the library or book store. Then you can begin. Following these steps can help you write an intelligent report and learn a bit of American History.
Steps
- Put the name Paul Revere into your computer search engine. Read some of the articles and print out relevant information so you can refer to it when you write your report. You could also save a few articles to My Documents (onto your computer). This is useful if you are typing your report on a computer.
- At the library, and ask a librarian help you locate books about him.
- At the bookstores, check out the history or American History shelves. Ask for assistance if required.
- Read about him. Bring a notebook and pencil to take notes.
Tips
- Make sure you find out who Paul Revere was. Give his birth and death date, and events in his life for which he is famous.
- Find out what people thought about him. Were there any mysteries or controversies about the person's life? If, for example, historians disagree about when the person was born, or is famous or infamous, address that.
- Can you relate his actions or his deeds to the country now? Does your person have a legacy?
- Give your opinion about what he did, were you impressed by his actions, and explain why.
- When you write about a famous person, consider including using quotations. They can really bring your paper to life!
