Tips
- Listing in-laws and other family members whose relationships are not one of the Facebook options is possible. From the same "Featured People" entry screen, click on the "Create a New List" link. Choose a descriptive name for your list (like "In-Laws,") then enter the names of the people you want to add.
- Your Facebook privacy settings will determine who can actually see the family members you've listed.
- Entering the name of an adult who is not on Facebook will result in a prompt to enter the person's email address. Facebook will then send the person an invitation to become your friend on Facebook and confirm the Family Request. There is no option to add an adult family member who is not on Facebook without entering an email address. If you enter the name of a son or daughter, you will not be asked for an email address, but you will be asked for a date of birth. Entering this information is optional. If you add an expected child, you will be asked for a due date. Entering this information is optional.
