Airbrush Nails

Nail polish not working for you? Try using an airbrush. It's quick and perfect.

Steps

  1. Buy a stencil. Find one at your closest nail salon retailer. They have many varieties from simple lines, to beautiful flowers.
  2. Apply a base-coat. Airbrush a background if you want, or leave it plain. Airbrush is hard at first, just practice until you get it right. Try practicing on other people's fingers, or try buying a synthetic "finger" from a nail salon retailer.
  3. Put the stencil on top of your finger. It's best to place in it the middle of the finger. If you like designs that go on the top or bottom, put your stencil just a little below or above that area. When you're satisfied with your design, use acetone to clean parts of your finger that have some airbrush colour on it.
  4. Apply top coat to perfect your design. Dry it and enjoy your new look.
  5. Remove and re-apply every few weeks to keep the beautiful designs.

Tips

  • When using acetone, it will dry your skin, so use lotion after you are completely done.
  • You can overlap designs with different colours for a unique look.
  • Get your nails done at a nail salon first, try to learn from them, or ask them how they do it.
  • Be creative!
  • Use airbrush top coat for best results.

Warnings

  • An airbrush machine is somewhat expensive ($159.99 +)so think about how much will you use it.
  • Remember to clean up after you're done. Use acetone to clean up your area.
  • Do not use acetone or polish remover on fake nails (especially acrylic).
