Auto Refresh in Chrome

There are many situations in which refreshing a page constantly is advantageous, with an Ebay auction being a good example. You can add an extension to chrome that automatically refreshes for you

Steps

  1. Search for"auto refresh chrome" in Google. Click on an extension listed there such as "Easy Auto Refresh."
  2. Click "Add to Chrome" in the top right corner of the Auto Refresh extension box.
  3. Hit the "Add" button to begin installation of the refresh extension.
  4. Click on the circular arrow icon right next to the web address bar in Chrome.
  5. Hit the green "Start" button when you want the refresh feature to begin. The length of time between refreshes is shown on the left. The icon with the circular arrows will then turn green, and begin refreshing the page at the chosen interval over and over until you stop it. Do this by clicking on the icon again, and then clicking the "Stop" button.

Tips

  • Make sure you stop the refresh cycle if you have results that you want, such as an Ebay page where you want to bid. Otherwise you may lose the results.

Warnings

  • Be careful which sites you use refresh on, since some may have warnings about such activities because it uses up their bandwidth.
