Be Fashionable Using Your Existing Wardrobe

Are you tired of all the clothes you own? Do you feel like you Don't have anything to wear?Don't fret! You can be fashionable using your existing wardrobe--all you'll need is a little creativity.

Steps

  1. Attach long ribbons to a dress and weave them around your waistline. Make sure that they look neat, as it may ruin the effect. The benefit of this is that the ribbon can flatter your body image, and add a dash of colour and style to your outfit. Make sure that you choose a colour that compliments your outfit and doesn't clash with the rest of the clothing you're wearing. If you want to be even more creative - use ribbon with some pattern; stripes, polka dot stars, etc!
  2. Be simple, but elegant. Add a single string of pearls. This can make your style more sophisticated and classy.
  3. Add a blouse to a sleeveless sundress. This wil look great - especially in summer/spring, as sun dresses are considered fashionable, and blouses are timeless.
  4. Wear a sleeveless blouse as a Wear a Vest for Night and Day.
  5. Wear a vest without a blouse.
  6. Wear a short top or long blouse over a long skirt.
  7. Wear a long blouse over a tank top or camisole.

  14. Lace or braid several long ribbons through the belt loops of your pants. Tie them to the side or at the front.
  15. Wear scarves around your neck, as a headband or belt.
  16. Wear a scarf of a different length. Tie the knot of a scarf close to your neck, below your neckline or let it flow freely.
  17. Pin small hair bows onto your shoes or the cuffs of your shirt. Pin a small bow to the top of your shirt pocket.

Tips

  • Be confident and smile brightly in whatever you wear!
  • Sometimes things look better on you than they do on the hanger. Don't be afraid to try on things instead of returning them.
  • No matter what you wear, put on a smile.
  • Play with your wardrobe! The old vest and that shirt you've never worn might look surprisingly good!
  • Mix up your style! If you are normally a grungy, rock style, try out a classic, elegant style and vice versa. You may surprise yourself!
  • Recycle fabrics to decorate your clothes. Make ribbons, bows or fabric flowers. Add a pocket, cuff, trim or ruffle.
  • Wear matching colors of clothes.
