Be Sassy but Cool

This guide gives you the proper instructions on how to be mean, but not too mean and sassy but cool. Get started at step one below.

Steps

  1. Never back away from a challenge. If it's something you'd really rather not do, make up an excuse that doesn't sound too lame. For example: "Please, I could do that when I was six-years-old." And walk away. Or you could say,"I would do that, but I'm not as pathetic as you are." Both work fine.
  2. Be and Dress Random. The key to being cool is to be different, without caring. Come to school wearing a faded T-shirt with crazy-color pants. People might stare at you. But if you hold your head up high and pretend to not hear the mean comments, who knows? You might set a new trend!
  3. Always have a comeback. If someone insults you, don't shrug it off and don't laugh along. When being sassy, don't be afraid to go over the limits. This might get you in a bit of trouble, but people will respect you more.
  4. Watch soap operas. This might sound dumb, but if you tell your 5th grade classmates you watch Desperate Housewives or Sex and the City, which are more of teenage/adult shows, you'll earn a better reputation than you'd think. Remember, Sex and the City isn't strictly speaking a soap opera. Consider Emmerdale, Eastenders, Shortland Street and Neighbours too.
  5. Have a boyfriend. This is a big bonus. If you don't have a boyfriend that's okay, though. When another girl brags that she has a boyfriend and you don't say,"You think I care?" And walk away.
  6. Call people out. If you see someone acting fake, call them out immediately. Believe it or not your popularity will soar.
  7. Be yourself. Try your hardest not to look like a poser. That will send your reputation to rock bottom.
  8. Stick up for your friends, be aware that you have to let them answer for themselves, but if they look like they're in a rough spot help them out.

Tips

  • Don't get a black eye. Know when to stop being sassy, this is part of the 'cool' personality trait.
  • When being sassy always speak your mind. If someone is doing something you don't like, or something you don't think is right tell them.
  • Collect a certain item. Make sure it's cool, and make sure you can carry it around with you. Maybe a key chain collection, or you could just collect candy and eat a few every now and then. This makes you seem very cool.
  • ACT SASSY. Yes, sometimes sassy means flirty. Don't be afraid to wiggle your fingers under a guy's chin or "accidentally" land in his land after you slip on the conveniently located banana on the floor.
  • Dress like a tomboy, a skater-chick, hipster, or with a 70's style. Or combine all three. Each style is very chic and all are very comfortable.

Warnings

  • Don't get carried away. Don't talk back to your aunt or your teacher, that only spells trouble.
  • Make sure your collection isn't dorky. A collection of 150 stamps doesn't exactly scream sassy.
  • Look at other sassy people at your school, try to act like them. Don't be their clone, have your own flare.
  • Also being sassy has it's price, just heads up if your planning to go full out sassy, you might go to the principal's office, but it's worth it.
  • Don't be afraid to be a brat. Pout when you don't get what you want, fake cry to get that annoying guy in the back of the classroom who picks his nose in trouble, and squint your eyes at people when they joke about you
