Steps
- Before you start, decide on whether you want to teach skiing or do skiing as a sport or be a guide for tourists.
- Check out a mountaineering institute and ask them about skiing courses. Mountaineering institutes are usually located in hill stations.
- You have to usually complete Basic and Advanced courses, and sometimes a Professional one too.
- If you want to be a freelance skier, then the cost of a skiing kit is high, so make sure you have ample cash in your bank account.
- If you feel fine in being employed, then usually your skiing kit will be provided by your organization.
- Now that you got a start, all you have to do is to ski; in different places, different tracks, different events -- just make yourself known!
Tips
- Make sure you are friends with a professional skier first, because he/she can give a lot of tips and even get you known. There are also a lot of perks too, such as getting good stuff for low cost for example.
- Always check your equipment before starting to avoid serious injuries and sometimes even death.
- Always have a partner with you, so that one of you can get help if the other is injured or missing.
Warnings
- Never ski uninformed or alone.
