Be a Professional Skier

Skiing is fun and dangerous, so its better to be well prepared for it. You can be either a freelance skier who skis for fun and adventure or acts as a teacher or guide for other skiing tourists or a professionally employed by a private or government organization for tourism or educational purposes.

Steps

  1. Before you start, decide on whether you want to teach skiing or do skiing as a sport or be a guide for tourists.
  2. Check out a mountaineering institute and ask them about skiing courses. Mountaineering institutes are usually located in hill stations.
  3. You have to usually complete Basic and Advanced courses, and sometimes a Professional one too.
  4. If you want to be a freelance skier, then the cost of a skiing kit is high, so make sure you have ample cash in your bank account.
  5. If you feel fine in being employed, then usually your skiing kit will be provided by your organization.
  6. Now that you got a start, all you have to do is to ski; in different places, different tracks, different events -- just make yourself known!

Tips

  • Make sure you are friends with a professional skier first, because he/she can give a lot of tips and even get you known. There are also a lot of perks too, such as getting good stuff for low cost for example.
  • Always check your equipment before starting to avoid serious injuries and sometimes even death.
  • Always have a partner with you, so that one of you can get help if the other is injured or missing.

Warnings

  • Never ski uninformed or alone.
