Be a Shepherd

Being a shepherd can be a lot of fun, especially when you know how to do it. Shepherds can be found all over the world. Anyplace from the deserts of Israel to the Highlands of Scotland.

Steps

  1. Find a good place to live. Many shepherds like to live in mountains: If you want to do this, you would be best to move to Wales or Scotland (or, if you want to live in the United States, Idaho or Wyoming).
  2. Buy a sheepdog. Some sheepdogs are better than others. You would do best to look on a dog-market online or see if you can find a breeder.
  3. Buy some sheep. I'm sure that there are shepherds who will be willing to give you some of their sheep. If not, you can buy the sheep from them.
  4. Place them on a mountain. The ideal thing to do is to place them on the same mountain, but they can be on different mountains if you want.
  5. Sit back and watch your sheep. Herd them back if they walk too far off. If you want to do this, be sure to yell at your sheepdog to chase them to wherever you want them to go. You can also chase after them.
  6. If chaos ensues: Be sure to eliminate the threat.
  7. Occasionally shave off the wool. It is best to do this in the summer or spring. If you do it in the winter, your sheep will freeze.
  8. Repeat on an annual basis.

Tips

  • Make sure that your sheep don't get too far away.
  • Be sure that you can actually make money from your shepherding.

Warnings

  • Wild animals will try to eat your sheep. Do not let this happen, otherwise you'll lose precious wool. In turn, you will lose precious money.

Things You'll Need

  • A sheepdog
