Become Popular on Club Penguin

Do you want to be popular in Club Penguin like Rockhopper? This article will teach you how to befriend many and eventually be well-known. It will take a lot of work––but you can do it!

Steps

Following the basics

  1. Avoid using numbers with your name. When signing up, try not to do numbers (so it's easier for people to remember you, and it sounds more cool). But if you already have, it isn't a big thing.
  2. Follow the rules the moderators have set. You do not want to be banned, not even for a day.
  3. Go onto the site often. This means playing at least four times a week. If it isn't possible to get on that much, don't worry. This isn't necessarily the most important step.
  4. Wear fashionable clothes that are interesting to look at.

Making friends

  1. Walk around and befriend other players, especially ones who say they are new. Add as many people as you can, your buddy list is unlimited.
    • Get to know a group of people. Befriend them; refrain from being clingy, though. Get to know them, and make sure they're the type of people that you like being around. For instance, if you are a nonmember, you most likely should be around other nonmembers. If you're a preppy member, you should generally surround yourself with jocks and cheerleaders.
  2. Play with your friends. After you successfully create you group of friends, do things together. This will attract others to your group. Go to the cove, swim in the pool underground, and advertise fun things like slumber parties at your igloos. After a few days, you'll have a pretty large group of friends if you follow these steps successfully. Remember to be yourself, because you will be uncomfortable trying to be a person you cannot be.

Staying friendly with everyone

  1. Be polite to everyone at all times.
  2. Know you can be polite but firm at the same time. If someone is bothering you, tell them to go away. If they keep at it, don't report them. Go to your igloo or a friend's igloo to escape.
  3. Stand up for penguins who are being bullied. If the bullying turns on you too, report the penguin(s) causing it all.

Getting known

  1. Earn as many coins as you can. This will help in getting necessities, especially if you have a Puffle to take care of.
  2. Get lots of coins and buy new stuff. Also support coins for change once a year, so penguins will see how generous you are and they might befriend you.
  3. Throw parties often. If you are a non-member, start inviting random people to your igloo and chat with them there. If you are a member, go to a congested area (e.g. the Town) and advertise your party.
  4. If you are a ninja, try wearing the ninja suit or the gong. You can get crowded if you are on Frozen or Mammoth or North Pole or other popular servers doing this.
  5. If you're feeling patient and/or your computer is quick, then try walking everywhere instead of using the map (unless you can't find secret places). This way, people will see you waddling around and say "Hey look, it's that penguin! I saw him/her waddling around in the cove yesterday". And they may come and see you and ask to be friends.
  6. If you have a friend in real life playing Club Penguin, add him or her. Your friend might have the same situation with more friends of his or hers and might tell them to add you too.
  7. Start a YouTube or Instagram account, and get to know others on social media. In order to be safe, create a Kik instead of offering your actual phone number.
    • You cannot offer your number on Club Penguin, so this is a warning to CPPS players.
  8. Take a break. Don't make Club Penguin your second home.

Tips

  • Become friends with a lot of regular people, not just members. This goes back to being nice to everybody.
  • Or, don't date. It is said that this will decrease your popularity. Some members hate dating on Club Penguin and find it to be annoying. And remember, Club Penguin is not a dating website! It's not real life.
  • Going to other penguin's parties helps in raising your social status. Ask the host if you can help advertise his/her party somewhere.
  • Be fashionable and stylish. A lot of penguins will think you are a very stylish penguin and will ask to be your buddy. The blonde wigs work well. Wear diva sunglasses. A lot of people wear hoodies (especially black ones!) now a days on club penguin so try wearing that! But when you wear that try not to be mean or anything because that doesn't work very well with the hoodie.
  • Most famous penguins have blogs. Try making a blog on Blogger or Wordpress!
  • Never try to act like a homeless baby or a puffle that needs to be adopted! you shouldn't care to even adopt penguins who are one. Some penguins think of those people as weirdos and sometimes they start thinking of you as a toddler. Trust me, I've seen it happen to a friend of mine.
  • Try to become a member. This isn't mandatory because there are lots of popular non-member penguins, but it really helps!
  • Try to get a boyfriend/girlfriend. They will eventually introduce you to their friends, and them to their friends, etc.

Warnings

  • Going to the pet shop and attracting babies by acting rich and stepping out of "limos" will not make you popular. Don't pretend to be famous and wave to imaginary "screaming fans." Sure, it might make babies drool over you but everyone else (including your friends) might think you are weird or you are lying, and you will lose your popularity quickly.
  • Please beware that some jealous penguins may come to your igloo and steal your guests by advertising for their party. If this happens, nicely tell them to go away. Most of the time though, they won't listen. If so, tell your guests to put them on their ignore lists.
  • If you go to igloo parties, don't steal other penguins' guests by telling them to come to your igloo just because you are in need of guests for your own party. It's extremely rude and frustrating to the host of the party because it could have taken them hours to get penguins to go to their party!
  • If someone says something uncomfortable to you on Club Penguin, report them, and tell a parent/guardian about the matter.
  • Don't try to impress your friends. You have to be yourself. If your nerdy don't act like an awesome cool bro! Be the Math Nerd you are! If you are a Cool Epic Bro, Be the kind of cool you are but not any other levels of cool. If you are shy, Talk to your friends. you don't have to talk unless you want to. Penguins like people who be themselves!
  • Stop and think before you make friends with somebody. Are they nice? Are they bullies? Do they follow the CP rules? Do they brag?
  • Don't act like a teenager while they are looking for BFs or GFs (Even if you are one). That means girls can't do stuff like "Flips Hair". Don't act like cute little babies. That means don't do "Hugs Teddy Bear" Or ___ Cutely. If you are a boy don't try to attract girls. All of that stuff makes kids stay away from you and kids are three Fourths Of All Of Club Penguin.
  • Do not try to act popular.
  • If you do decide to get a boyfriend/girlfriend, stick to them and them only. If you two-time and two of your significant others are logged on at the same time, there would be trouble!
  • Stay away from opposing sides. If you are a black hoodie, you cannot speak with preps unless you and the rest of your primary group are friendly with them. Same goes for other factions and groups in Club Penguin; don't interfere with the other side.
