Play Club Penguin on Paper

Club Penguin is a online, multiplayer game. This is a low-tech version you can create yourself if you're grounded or your computer is down. Or if you just want to have fun.

Steps

  1. Get 20 pieces of paper. Plain white, full sheets, not lined or ripped or square.
  2. Draw some penguin player cards.
  3. The player card should contain name, penguin picture, and coin amount. The items should be drawn in boxes on the back. Maybe even a pin box for some secret pins!
  4. Draw the penguin's homes.
  5. Add a buddy list which lists your buddies and some key information such as name.
  6. Name the penguins.
  7. Draw things on the penguins if you want (in pencil so you can erase and change the clothes).
  8. Create mini-games, and prizes they can win for winning those games such as clothing or coins (tiny pieces of paper).
  9. Don't forget to draw yourself!
  10. If you don't get it, try the Internet version.
  11. Make puffles.

Alternate Version

  1. Draw and cut out your penguins, cards etc.
  2. Draw a background.
  3. Move your cut out penguins around the background.
  4. For pins and extra things etc, draw and cut out as well.
  5. Enjoy!

Print it

  1. If you are not a good artist and would like to print things instead of drawing the cards for the game, follow this.
  2. Go to http://play.clubpenguin.com/ and find a good example of the game to print.
  3. On a PC, find the button "Print Screen" probably next to [F12] on your keyboard, and press it once; that copies the screen to the clipboard (a MAC works differently--but it's worth a try).
  4. Open up Microsoft paint (or GIMP), then press [ctrl] + [v] at the same time and the screen shot should appear, save it and print it.
  5. Once you print it, you could cut your player cards out from it. Make sure you're player is hidden somewhere on the map before that you select to print.
  6. Enjoy this higher quality printed version of Club Penguin.

Tips

  • You can also make new rooms, parties, igloo items, ect. It's really fun!
  • It is a lot of fun to play this with friends!
  • Make the mini-games fun - try making new areas.
  • You could also write buddies down on another piece of paper.
  • It's more fun to go on www.clubpenguin.com though.
  • Another option for coins is to just tally them on a blank sheet of paper. Every 1,000 or so will go on the player card.
  • Drawing areas are only recommended before playing, otherwise just pretend the areas are there!

Warnings

  • When finding "coins" you can use to earn from the mini-games, don't steal your parents' money. If you do, they will most likely get angry at you. You could draw fake coins in a tiny cut out circle. A good kind would be some coins you get from Club Penguin Toys. Or you could print out a picture of a Club Penguin Coin.
