Blow a Bubble with Your Hands

Need to blow bubbles but lost your bubble wand? Well fear not, here's a fancy solution!

Steps

  1. Enter your usual hand washing area.
  2. Wet your hands under the sink, not too wet or the bubbles will be too thin.
  3. Put soap on your hands, liquid soap usually works better than bars.
  4. Rub hands in a hand cleaning fashion.
  5. Put your hand in the "OK" position and close your index finger into your thumb, so you're making a fist with just your thumb and index finger.
  6. Re-open your finger into the "OK" position, there should be a thin layer of soap, looking like it does on a bubble wand, inside that space (be sure, when opening your fingers not to disconnect from the thumb or you will need to start all over).
  7. Blow lightly through the space and watch as a bubble appears (usually it will pop before is disconnects from your hand, but with some practice it will float for about two seconds, then... pop!). After 1-3 uses you may want to put more soap on your hand and rinse it a tiny bit.

Tips

  • Also if you want bigger bubbles make two with both hands and fuse them by putting your pinky into the other bubble. Make sure you have both bubbles in each hand.
  • If you want to make bigger bubbles, put your hand in a "cup" position. Then move the bottoms apart and blow!
  • Liquid soap is better than bars of soap because it is already in liquid form; if using a bar, you need to make it into a liquid form by yourself.
  • To make a big bubble you should blow very softly.
  • As you blow the bubble, use the other hand to support it as you blow. This way you may be able to make bubbles twice the size of your head!
  • While fusing two bubbles, it is best to first keep the bottom part close to each other.

Warnings

  • Watch out for your eyes, when the bubble pops who knows where that soap is going to go.
  • You may want to have a mop handy because it can get messy!

Things You'll Need
