Steps

  1. The frame is made from a $19.00 Canadian Tire table saw.
  2. The wheels are 12". Do not screw with the brake-side of the tire, leave it intact and secure to the frame plywood bed. get 1/4" bolts and nuts, a handful or so, (11 or 12).
  3. mm heads and nuts.
  4. You may have to re-drill 1/4" holes, and use lock washers on EVERY bolt.
  5. Use a steel bar with two bolt holes in it. This bar should be rigid (not bending easily), sturdy and about 3/16" thick. Then, place the bar bolt holes in the bicycle rack holes close to the axle. Bolt it and use thread lock or blue lock tight.
    • A {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} children's bike for parts. The front brake is taken apart and twisted so a pear type clip release could be added and used. Clip to attach the bicycle to the trailer.
  6. The tongue is two legs from the saw table (2-legs), the longest of the packaged set. Make a box from the two right angle steel brackets. Then use 1/4" bolts, nuts, lock washers about 2"-2 1/4" long, then connect one end to the frame and the other end to an {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} eye bolt which is then attached with the removable 1/4" steel clip to the bike bracket.
  7. Make sure all bolts are tight, watch your knuckles too.
  8. Drill and bolt L angles inside frame close to wheels to stop frame from wobbling and the tires from twisting in to the wood.
  9. Add plastic bin: 1/4" L angle to secure it to the plywood base.
  10. Add a flag
  11. Inflate tires.
  12. Go for a test ride, should track right behind bicycle
  13. Use your creativity and make it safe.

Warnings

  • Better to use two front {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} tires, from a pawn shop or value village. Try not to use the rear wheel.
