Attach Schwinn Child Trailer Sc77 to Newer Model Bike
The Schwinn Child Trailer comes with a rather bulky attachment to the bicycle which is not readily available and which does not work on all bike frames such as some Cannondale models. Burley parts provide the solution.
Steps
- Purchase Burley standard hitch. This is not the 9.5mm or 10.5mm model, nor is it the classic model. It's the standard model which is in stock at your bike store, costing about $20 there.
- Purchase the flexible connector for round tongue, 950037. This part can be had from www.burleygear.com.
- Attach the standard hitch to the bike according to the instructions.
- Remove the round connector and the spring connector from the SC77. One horizontal nut holds this in place within the square tubing.
- Attach the flexible connector for round tongue to the square tubing using the vertical holes already in the square tubing. Do this in accordance with the instructions which came with the flexible connector.
- Connect the trailer to the bike.
