Censor a Video

Steps
- Open Audacity (Download it for free at the link below).
- Go to Generate>Tone.
- Set the frequency to 1000 and select OK.
- It will now be a 30 second TV beep. All of it is highlighted, so take the mouse pointer to the end and when you see a finger, click, hold, and drag it to the left until only one second is highlighted. Then click the trim button.

- Drag the video into the timeline.
- Pause right before the bad word and click Split.
- Play again and pause again right after the bad word ends.
- Split again and the bad word will be one tiny clip.
- Zoom all the way in and click the plus sign next to Video.
- Mute the audio in the bad word clip.
- Place the beep right under it. You may need to shorten it a little bit and if it needs to be longer, place another beep right under it.
- Now replay the clip to see if it worked.
- Repeat for all the bad words until the video is a video suited for television.
- Note: You can also do this without using Audacity or making a beep. Just mute the audio to have silence during the bad words.
