Change Windows Time Display to Include Your Name

Did you know that you can edit the Windows Time to include your name? For example, instead of "3:05 PM" it will display "3:05 (Your name)". AM and PM would be replaced by your name [or any word(s) that you please]. Here is how to do it.

Steps

  1. Navigate to STARTSettingsControl Panel.
  2. Double click on Regional and Language Options, if you are in Classic View. Otherwise, click on Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options, then click on Regional Options. You should see the following window:
  3. Click on the Customize.
  4. Click on the Time tab. You should see:
  5. Replace the AM and PM with your first name.
  6. Click on Apply.
  7. Click on OK.
  8. Click on Apply and then close the Regional and Language Options window.

Tips

  • You can include spaces in the AM- and PM-symbol fields, but you cannot enter numeric characters.
  • The AM- and PM-symbol fields can fit up to a maximum of 12 characters [including spaces].
  • In Vista, there are options for "hh:mm:ss" and "h:mm:ss tt" etc. To work properly you will have to select the "hh:mm:ss tt" version to display your text, where the am and pm should be.
