Open Multiple Accounts in Windows Live Messenger

Have you ever thought that how your friend can open his/her multiple accounts of Hotmail or MSN at a time. I know there are many Thirdy-Party Patches for approximately every version of MSN Messenger. Through the help of them, you can open several copies of MSN Messenger at a time, and sign in with different accounts using each polygamy (copy). But, this article will tell you how to do this with Microsoft's New Instant Messenger i.e. Windows Live Messenger (Freeware).

Steps

  1. Download and install Windows Live Messenger from Windows Live Messenger Download Site
  2. After successful installation of Windows Live Messenger, download Messenger Plus! Live, which is a plug-in to enhance the functions of the Windows Live Messenger.
  3. After downloading and installing it, go to the 'Plus!' tab on the top of your WLM and go to preferences then click on Customize tab page. Then you will find options for multiple accounts, though you have to check the first option Allow me to connect to several accounts simultaneously
  4. Enable the option, and you are done.
  5. Run WLM twice, and you will see 2 copies of the same messenger running simultaneously in the task pane. Run the program according to the number of copies you want to open at once.

Tips

  • Try using other features of Messenger Plus! Live such as Scripts etc. Some of them will enhance your chatting environment such as Tabbed Chatting, which is very useful.
  • If you are an Advanced programmer, you can always create your own scripts and distribute them through Internet.
  • If you want to discuss about Scripts with other users go to forums.

Warnings

  • Do not create any scripts for offensive purpose such as Theft of Password etc.
  • You should be aware that even if you refuse to install the sponsors applications you will find that up to 332 (at least that's the number my anti-spyware subsequently detected. You may also notice strange things happening with your connection if you open webcam and with your email. That's the price we have to pay for the luxury of the extras.
