Crunk Dance

Are you absolutely jealous of how people in hip hop videos dance? Some of them even dance hardcore. We call that "crunk dancing."

Steps

  1. First of all, crunk dancing was made popular by Lil Jon because he combined the words "crazy" and "drunk." Thus, giving us the word "crunk." No, you don't have to be drunk to learn how to crunk dance. But, you can pretend. As for the "chronic" part... some marijuana is required.
  2. To crunk dance, you need music. Recommended songs for crunk dancing are somewhat fast hip hop songs. For example, you could crunk dance to Lip Gloss by Lil Mama.
  3. Watch the Crazy In Love music video by Beyoncé for the first stage of crunk dancing. When it gets to the part with her wearing a hat and somewhat baggy pants, she starts shaking her butt. That outlines the first step of learning how to crunk dance.
  4. Not all crunk dancing requires you to shake your butt for the entire song because that can get pretty tiring. Mix it up a bit. If you still don't have a clue, watch other hip hop videos to help inspire you.
  5. Once you've mastered shaking your butt, be sure to add hand gestures. Crunk dancing is basically a hardcore-ish version of normal dancing.
  6. This is where the crazy part needs to kick in. Let the music guide you. Be sure to dance to the beat of the music. For example, it wouldn't make any sense to dance wildly to a slow song.
  7. Learn different dance moves.
  8. Make it into a routine and memorize it just in case you're in a club, or whatever, and the song comes on. You'll be the hottest dancer there.

Tips

  • Dance like no one is watching.
  • There's some cool videos on youtube that teach you how to dance. for example if you type in soulja boy crank that there is an instructional video on how to do the dance.
  • Practice
  • Watch new and old hip hop videos. For example, watch Can't Touch This by M.C. Hammer and Hey Mama by the Black Eyed Peas. Learn from their dances to make your own dance moves.
  • Pretend that you're dancing for a music video.

Warnings

  • Be sure not to do a dance move that you can't physically do. Like if you know that you're going to hurt yourself trying to do the splits, don't make yourself do it.
  • Don't mix up crunk dancing and krumping.
