Do Hairstyles for 12 Year Olds

This is an article for 12-year-old girls who want to do different hairstyles with their hair.

Steps

  1. Gather the things you will need: a brush, hair ties, bobby pins, hairspray, a curling iron/flat iron, and hair accessories (optional). (Each hairstyle may have different supplies)

Hair Poof

  1. Straighten, curl, or do whatever style you want to your hair before doing this style. Just don't do anything to your bangs. If you don't want to do anything to your hair, go to the next step.
  2. Gather your bangs. Hold them straight up. Tease them for extra volume (optional).
  3. Twist them a couple of times, then push them inwards.
  4. Clip down the part where it twists.Spray with a volume hairspray to add even more volume (optional).

Messy Bun

  1. Flip your hair backwards.
  2. Make a ponytail but do not put the hair tie in all the way.
  3. Flip your head back. Mess around with it a bit, pull some hairs out of the bun, and adjust or fix it.

Braid

  1. Gather three even sections from your hair. Brush each section.
  2. Put the right section over the middle section.
  3. Put the left section over the middle section.
  4. Continue until there is no more hair left to braid. Then secure with a hair tie.

Pigtails

  1. Separate your hair into two even sections. Brush the first section.
  2. Secure the section with a hair tie wherever on your head you want it to be.
  3. Take the next section, and brush it through. Then secure that with a hair tie. Make sure the two sections look even.

Half Up, Half Down

  • This style looks super cute with it curled or wavy. But you can leave your hair the way it is if you want.
  1. Take a section from the back of your hair and tease it. Do this with a few more sections from the back only, but not too many. Three is enough.
  2. Put your teased hair back and slightly brush it.
  3. Gather all the sections of your teased hair and twist them and push upwards. Put two bobby pins (make them criss-crossed) in the twisted part. Add a cute hair accessory to hide the bobby pins if you want.

Flipped pony

  1. Tie a ponytail.
  2. Loosen the tie so its away from the head a little bit.
  3. In the space between the head and tie, separate in the middle to make a hole.
  4. Hold the hole open and pull the pony through.
  5. Customize this however you'd like to. You can curl the hair, straighten it, make it a high or a side pony, do two, etc.
