Do a Burnout on an ATV or Dirtbike
Have you always wanted to do a burnout but don't have a car to do it in? Try it in an ATV or a Dirt bike! This is harder to do though because most ATVs and Dirt bikes don't have the torque to do it. Here is where you can read on to learn how to do it!
Steps
- Take your vehicle somewhere it's legal to do a burnout. (Private property, dirt trail, somewhere there's no traffic)
- Get on your ATV or Dirt Bike.
- Start the vehicle.
- Gutless ATVs: Put the vehicle in reverse.
- Hold the front brake.
- Give it enough gas to spin the wheels but don't over rev it or you can damage the ATV engine.
- Powerful ATVs: Put the vehicle in 1st.
- Hold the front brakes.
- Give it gas but don't over rev it.
Tips
- It's easier on powerful ATVs
- It's much easier in dirt, there's less traction.
- Lean forward, the more weight on the front will make it easier to lose traction in the back.
Warnings
- Remember that in dirt or sand if you do this, the top layer can go away and the traction level of the lower layer can be significantly higher. Some people have done this on both sand and dirt and ended up doing a wheelie (or wheel stand)at a high rate of speed.
- Don't do it in front of cops.
- This is hard on tires, it wears them out faster.
- Don't over rev!
- Use common sense when doing this. Take all necessary safety precautions.
- Make sure you have a camera for AFV.
Things You'll Need
- Powerful ATV 150cc or higher
- Gasoline for ATV
- Place to do it.
