Do the Yoga Bow Pose
Bow pose, or Dhanurasana is a pose that one can perform while lying down. This simple pose is made to open the chest and throat, energize the body, and aid digestion.

Steps
Getting in the Starting Position
- Lie flat on your yoga mat on your stomach, stretching your arms out along your body at your sides, with your forehead resting gently on the mat.
- Close your eyes and breathe for two breaths.
Performing the Pose
- Bring your head back to rest your chin on the floor. Inhale and bend your knees, bringing your feet towards your buttocks. Grasp the ankles with your hands.
- Lengthen your spine and on an inhale, lift your hips up. Continue breathing steadily and draw your shoulder blades onto your back. Lift your shoulders, legs, and torso off the floor. Gaze straight ahead of you.
- Hold the pose for four breaths, then lower your knees and let go of your feet, coming to rest on your stomach once more.
