Download Music from Spotify Using Spotydl

Spotify is a handy music streamer that plays music directly off the internet. However, you will run into trouble if you're not connected to the internet. A way to get around this is by downloading a downloader for Spotify. This downloader is called Spotydl. It is no longer supported, but you can still download it from external websites. Spotydl is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Steps

  1. Download and install Spotify. Once you do this, you will need to log in to your account. If you do not have an account, you can create one for free.
  2. Download and install Spotydl. You can do so by clicking on this link.
  3. Select the songs you wish to download. You can select multiple songs by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking on multiple songs. If you want to select all the songs in a particular section, then press Ctrl+A.
  4. Right click the selected songs and click Copy HTTP Link.
  5. Paste the link in Spotydl.
  6. Click Download at the top of the window. The songs will begin to download.

Tips

  • If a song does not download because it is not popular enough, go to the Spotydl settings and uncheck the "Don't try to download not popular enough songs" box.
  • Or you can drag it from Spotify to the downloader.
