Draw Anime Hands

This tutorial will show you how to draw anime hands in different poses.

Steps

Anime Hands Using 3D Shapes

  1. Study the hand's proportion and shapes.
  2. Sketch a box (this makes the hand's palm)
  3. Sketch 4 round circles for the fingers.
  4. Sketch the wedge and another circle for the thumb.
  5. Sketch the fingers
  6. Use the sketch to draw the hand's figure.
  7. Use the same technique to draw the opposite side of the hand. Use your hand as reference.
  8. Study how the thumb and fingers move using your hands as a reference.
  9. Practice drawing different finger poses using 3-D shapes as guides.

Anterior Angle of the Hand

  1. Draw the ball of the hand using pencil.
  2. Make five sticks attached to the ball of the hand; these will serve as the fingers. Don’t forget to make markers that help remind you where the joints of the fingers are.
  3. Make small cylindrical shapes over the lines you have drawn earlier to help you shape up the fingers.
  4. Draw part of the forearm.
  5. Draw some creases on the ball of the hand. Then Erase the wrist line.
  6. Darken the silhouette of the hand using a marker and erase unnecessary lines from the outline you made earlier.

  1. Draw the ball of the hand using pencil.
