Draw Charmander
Charmander is a Kanto Pokémon in a first stage evolution. It evolves to Charmeleon and the third stage of the evolution will be Charizard. Here are the steps on how to draw Charmander.
Steps
- Start by forming the character by adding basic shapes.
- Draw the eyes.
- Draw the lines for the head.
- Draw the mouth.
- Add the body.
- Draw the right arm.
- Draw the left arm.
- Draw the left leg.
- Draw the right leg.
- Draw the tail.
- Add the fire on the tip of the tail.
- Add lines for detailing the character.
- All lines are done.
- Clean up and remove the guidelines and you are done. Great job!
Alternate Method
- Draw an oval on top of a vertical line.
- Draw a triangle around the vertical line. Add a slanted rectangle on each side.
- Draw four ovals—two at the bottom of the image and two to mark the eyes.
- Add two rectangles at the bottom for feet. Also add a trapezoid and an oval (these will become the tail).
- Draw another oval on top of the tail. Begin drawing an outline around the shapes.
- Finish outlining. Add facial features and other important details.
- Erase unnecessary guidelines.
- Color the drawing, using a lot of orange.
