Draw Human Feet

Have you ever wanted to draw feet? They can be tricky, but essential in a portrait. Here's the guide for you!

Steps

Drawing a Foot From the Front

  1. Draw a circle
  2. Draw a line approximately 1.5 times the circle’s diameter, from the bottom and upwards through its center. The length of the line affects the angle of the view of the foot.
  3. Draw a triangle with two sides touching the circle and intersecting with the line’s tip at the top. The distance of the triangle’s base may depend on how big you want the toes to look.
  4. Draw five circles or ovals across the base of the triangle for toes. You might want to vary the sizes as toes have different sizes.
  5. Draw two ovals overlapping the circle towards the center line. The ovals’ sizes should not be more than around half compared to that of the circle’s and one oval should be higher than the other.
  6. Draw the final outline of the foot and erase unnecessary lines.
  7. Draw nails or any other details you’d want for your foot.
  8. Color the drawing.

Drawing a Foot From the Side

  1. Draw a circle.
  2. Draw a right triangle with all three sides touching the circle.
  3. Draw two ovals next to each other and overlapping at the tip of the base of the triangle.
  4. Draw the final outline of the foot.
  5. Erase the guide drawings.
  6. Color the drawing.

Drawing Two Feet

  1. Draw two ovals.
  2. Add two lines in the centre of the ovals, and add two small circles.
  3. Add more ovals.
  4. Draw few lines inside and outside the ovals.
  5. Add more curved lines.
  6. Now connect all the curved lines.
  7. Erase unnecessary lines and draw the toenails.
  8. Outline the drawing using felt pen.
  9. Color the drawing using acrylics or crayons.
