Draw Rain Drops

Here’s how to present Raindrops. This is a task which can include some improvisations and play. Let’s start!

Steps

Draw Cartoon Raindrops

  1. Sketch an oblong shape, with the one end pointing down to the direction of the rainfall.
  2. Sketch the pointed tail of the raindrop pointing to the opposite end of the oblong.
  3. Draw an outline over the shape of the raindrop and erase the sketch marks.
  4. Fill and paint over the shape with white.
  5. Paint a light blue gradient over the shape as shown in the image.
  6. Paint a darker shade of blue over the shape as shown in the image.
  7. Add a white highlight on the raindrop to complete a 3-dimensional effect.
  8. Repeat the entire process to draw other raindrops as well.

Draw Raindrops on a Surface

  1. Sketch irregularly shaped oblongs or distorted circles.
  2. Draw an outline over the shape of the droplets and erase the sketch marks.
  3. Fill and paint over the shape with white.
  4. Paint a light blue gradient over the shape as shown in the image.
  5. Paint a darker shade of blue over the shape as shown in the image.
  6. Add a white highlight on the raindrop to complete a 3-dimensional effect.
  7. Add the color of the background surface to complete the drawing.
