Regular Vegeta
- Begin by drawing the outline skeleton sketch. Skeleton outline sketching is being used to guide you in drawing the body. This way you can anticipate body poses, length of the arms and feet, how huge the head should be, and so on.
- Draw the outline sketch for face. One vertical line for the nose and four horizontal lines for the brows, eyes, nose and mouth.
- Draw the actual lines for the jaw line and ears.
- Add the actual lines for the facial features. Vegeta’s expressions are always grumpy. People likes to think he’s one of the bad guys and Vegeta also loves that kind of impression on him.
- Start drawing the actual lines for the hairline. Vegeta has an interesting hairstyle. He has two arches and all of his hair strands are fixed upwardly.
- Draw spikes to complete the hairstyle.
- Let’s begin with his body. Make sure that he has a muscular body. This is the trademark of Dragon Ball, masculine bodies. Vegeta shows headstrong and arrogant poses, so try to keep him in character.
- Add the clothes’ actual lines. When Vegeta turned to the anti-villain group of characters, he changed his Saiyan outfit. He removed the shoulder pads and armor, including the accessories like the high-technology eyeglass monitor headset thing that was equipped on one of his eyes. He left the blue suit and the gloves and shoes.
- Erase the unnecessary lines.
- Fill in the basic colors.
- Add the highlights and shadows.
Super Saiyan Vegeta
- Draw the outline sketches for the head and face.
- Add the outlines for the jaw and ears.
- Draw the outlines for the face. Always keep it in character. Vegeta loves boasting and this time he feels more powerful so it shows on his facial expression.
- Add the outlines of the hair. His hairstyle should still look the same. Unlike Goku’s which was drawn with a completely different style, his was only colored differently. The layers and spikes were shown more because of the light color.
- Draw the outline sketches of the body. It’s okay to draw the entire body if that makes it more convenient for you. Just make sure that you draw the outlines very lightly so that you can erase the unnecessary lines when you’re done drawing the next layer.
- Draw the armor and erase the unnecessary lines.
- Fill in the basic colors. The hair will turn to yellow and green for the eyes.
- Add the highlights and shadows.
Vegeta’s Face
- To form the head, first draw a circle and then add an angle that tapers down the bottom to make the shape appear oval with the chin being emphasized.
- Divide the shape in half vertically and horizontally to help guide you in drawing the parts of the face later. Add the ears on each corner of the horizontal line.
- Draw Vegeta’s hairline and make out the shape of his face.
- Sketch out the hair, note that Vegeta’s hair is elaborated and pointy.
- Using the lines you made earlier, draw the eyes, nose and mouth. Note that the thick eyebrows are directly on top of the eyes. Add details to the ears to make it more realistic.
- Add color as desired.
Vegeta’s Full Body
- Draw a circle for the head, add sticks for the trunk and limbs, taking note of the location of the joints.
- Draw the shape of Vegeta’s body over the stick figure as your guide.
- Sketch details to the face, following the steps in how to draw Vegeta’s face.
- Draw the armor. It has striped lines on the shoulders and the abdominal area.
- Add details to the arms and fingers.
- Sketch the legs and the shoes.
- Erase unnecessary lines.
