Draw a Woman in Formal Dress
Here’s a simple tutorial on how to draw a woman in a formal dress.
Steps
- Draw a small oval, a rectangle and one line. Draw lightly so you can erase if needed.
- Draw one more line and one oval for the arm.
- Draw more ovals and few lines.
- Add a line to mark a place for hair.
- Draw more details, as shown. Add neck and skirt.
- Add more lines for a jacket and draw shoes.
- Outline the drawing, add more details.
- Color the drawing, choosing some dark color or maybe you can try a nice shade of beige.
Tips
- Remember that if it doesn't come out perfect the first time, that trying again is an option.
- It also helps to walk away from a piece to clear your head. Usually when you'll return, you'll realize that the piece isn't as hideous as you thought and that it can be salvaged. Try,try again!
Warnings
- Make sure to start off drawing lightly. Mistakes can happen, and the darker you start off drawing, the harder it will be to erase the lead.
- Also, be careful of smudging. Another small piece of paper under your drawing hand is key.
Things You'll Need
- Eraser
- Graphite Pencil (HB 2 or mechanical)
- Colored pencils (if preferred)(Try Prismacolor. A bit pricey, but they blend much better than Crayola, and RoseArt® combined.)
