Dress Cool for Middle School

You are now in middle school and you are starting to care how you look. This article will help you to achieve this.

Steps

  1. Always lay out your clothes on your bed before you go to sleep. You can spend more time picking out the perfect outfit and accessories, and you won't be late for school in the morning.
  2. Do the easy stuff. Brush your teeth for at least twice a day and take a shower at least every other day, shave if you want, wash and condition your hair, put on deodorant, wash your face and keep it free of pimples.
  3. Don't wear the same color or type of outfit day after day. That goes for shoes and hairdos as well.
  4. If you're wearing makeup, keep it very light, and don't go for bright colors. Parties, yes. School, no. And be wary on how much black eyeliner you put on; you don't want people to have the impression that you're goth or emo # Earthy tones are very good to wear, like dark green and brown or a soft blue. It all depends on what looks best on you.
  5. Change up your hairstyle: down, one or more braids, high or low ponytail, high or low pigtails, down with a small ponytail on top, bun, clips, headband, etc.
  6. Be confident in yourself. Think "I can do this", whatever you try.
  7. Stay healthy. This doesn't mean to be slim or thin. This means to not eat too much junk food & bad drinks for your health.
  8. Don't try to be something you're not. First you just gotta be yourself, Speak your mind but try to not say hurtful things. Bullying is bad.

Tips

  • Don't desperately attempt to follow fashion hits that are coming up in your school--for all you girls who haven't tried this yet, skinny jeans under Uggs are totally comfortable and fashionable.
  • If you put on nail polish, vary the colors instead of your normal one every time. Or even better--do french tips; they go with every outfit and color under the sun.
  • There is a fine line between self-confidence and arrogance.
  • Don't wear too much perfume. You don't want the scent to be overpowering, and choking the person next to you.
  • Develop a trademark. This can be anything: a signature hairdo, special jewelry, etc. But remember, it's called trademark for a reason: don't copy anybody else. If somebody copies what you do, then think of it as that you have set a trend.
  • Don't just stick with skinny jeans if you want to show off your legs. Leggings are perfect for that--they can go under a dress, short shorts, mini skirts, whatever. Plus they come in tons of colors and patterns.
  • When you lay out your clothes on your bed, place them so they won't fall off and get dusty.
  • Get a look that people know is yours. Maybe try wearing red in every outfit. You could try to let people know that you are the type to wear sleeveless shirts, long skirts, etc.

Warnings

  • Don't get too into what you wear and forget about other things. This could build a bad reputation for you. Do that before bed.
  • Don't try too hard to impress.
  • If you put on dark color eyeshadow such as blue or purple don't make it dark, make it very light
