Drive in France

One of the most beautiful European countries, France is a great place to visit. If you need to drive while there, this article offers steps to help you out.

Steps

  1. You'll need a driver's license. If you don't have one (legal issues, can't drive, lost it), you need to obtain a new one, if there should be any chance of you driving.
  2. For people in most countries, driving on the right side of the road is natural. Luckily it is the same in France, so you don't need to worry.
  3. The last major thing is the type of car. You are probably used to an automatic car. Unfortunately, most of Europe runs on manual cars. So, you will need to learn how to drive and operate a manual car. They are harder to use.
  4. Also, the roads in France are smoother than the ones in the States, but VERY tricky. The road system is messed up. The roads often curve, and twists unexpectedly. It is very easy to get lost.
