Enter Antitheft Radio Code in Your Honda Vehicle

How to find and input the anti-theft code for your Honda vehicle, when your battery dies, or you replace the battery in any Honda vehicle you are going to get a message on your radio saying that you need to enter a code. Now your car will still work if you don’t put the code in, but you will not be able to list to the radio or use anything else you radio might include. For these instructions I will be using a 2011 Honda Civic, but these steps will work for most Hondas.

Steps

  1. Finding the code. If your battery dies or if it is ever disconnected you are going to get this warning on your radio and you can listen to your radio if this code isn’t inputted in.
  2. Locate the pouch in the glove compartment. Look in the glove compartment in your car and find the booklet sleave the holds your owner’s manual.
  3. Find code card. This is the card that you will find your code on.
  4. Owner’s manual. In some cases you will not have a card the code will be located in the front page of your owners manual.
  5. ]Input code into radio. Find the buttons under the radio and push the buttons that corresponds to your cars code. If it doesn’t work that first time, try and push the buttons with more force the next time.
  6. Resetting clock. When your battery dies, your clock is going to reset. To get it ready to reset press and hold the FM/AM button on the radio.
  7. To reset the time, you need to press up or down on the 1 and 4 key to change to hour. And to change the inputs give the clock key one press and use the 1 and 4 button to change the minutes.
