Fake Sick when You Are Too Lazy to Go to School

Lights flicker on, no one is seen lying in their bed anymore, the blankets are in a heap, and you can hear some muffled sounds. "Get up!" Your mother cries. The muffled sounds are a little bit clearer, as the heap of blankets toss and turn. "Get up!" She tries again. The blankets unravel, and a body emerges, “I don’t want to.” You say tiredly.

Chances are your mornings tend to be like this. But what if you are “sick”?

Being ill requires rest, and how can you rest while at school, long answer short, you can’t. Being sick completely sucks, and unfortunately it can strike when you can’t afford it. But what if you could convince your parents to let you stay home? Even when you are not sick.

This guide will aid you in the process in pretending to be ill. There are many ways of faking sick, but this one has it all. Most kid's families never like for kids to miss school, and it takes quite a lot to stay home during the school week, but with determination, you can find a working theory. You need to pick your sickness, in order to be prepared, go for something common, like a headache or stomachache, with which there is no proof you are lying.

Steps

  1. Plan in Advance- This is a very crucial part of your plan, this will give it the real effect and make your parents consider something is actually wrong with you. Two nights before is best, but if you don’t want to, the night prior is fine also. When you come home from school on your chosen day, tell your easiest and most caring parent about how hard it was to be attentive in class. Most likely they will ask why, tell them your chosen sickness was hurting you, ask if you can go lie down, grab your self a flat ginger ale, or even better ask them to get you it. Then see if you can sneak some snacks up in your room. Reason for this, for added effect, skip out on dinner, say that you don’t feel well enough to handle food. If you have chosen two days in advance, get up the next morning and get ready, tell your parents your feeling a bit better and you are going to try to go to school, then when you come home say you felt even worse, and it started to hurt again during class. Repeat your same routine from the night prior.
  2. Tricks up your sleeve- That night go to bed early to simulate being tired and drawn out but stay up as late as possible, to have a more sick and tired look about you in the morning, it is really helpful. If you want to, you can wake your parents up to have some medicine, obviously you will have to take it, but spit it out when you are alone in your room. Many kids would be in trouble for waking their parents up but, take the risk. In the morning they could try to force you to go to school, if they do, spend a little more time to get out, then have some cereal but pick at it, saying you don’t feel like eating. Then slowly start to dress, put on really comfy clothes, and don’t brush your hair properly. If they actually make you go, then go. But only for a while, call their cell phone, saying you can’t handle it anymore. it will work more or less. If your parents let you stay home you may protest, it's personal choice to do this or not do, your parents may start to think you are faking. But if you have something you enjoy, say “We were going to start basketball in gym today…” It may work.
  3. During your “Sick” Day- Try to stay in bed all day, watching TV and napping, don’t do anything too loud or anything that takes much energy, because your parents might come in and check on you during the day, and you could be in copious amount of trouble if caught faking. At dinner that night say you are feeling a little better, and eat some of your dinner saying you are also starting to get your appetite back. If you eat it all you could look like you are extremely hungry, and people who have not eaten in a while tend to slowly regain their appetite. Go to bed a little early, saying you are still a bit tired and need more sleep.
  4. Back to School- The next morning say you feel well enough to attempt to go back to school, eat your breakfast and get ready faster than the day before, it will make it seem you are getting better. Come home saying you barely are in pain any more, and you are well healed. Everything can go back to normal.

Tips

  • Be sure to really look sick around your parent's lunch break and when they leave work, so if they come home unexpectedly you will be ready for them to come and check on you.
  • Try this on a Wednesday. It is the middle of the week, and your parents will less suspect you just being too lazy to attend school
  • Use makeup to whiten your face to look pale or put dark bags under your eyes to indicate you couldn't sleep well during your "illness".
  • Practice making sick sounds (cough, sneeze, pain sounds, lazy sounds, etc.).

Warnings

  • Do not leave the home, it can result in bad consequences and in the future, when you really are sick they may not trust you any more.
  • Do not fake sick too often your parents can be gullible but they are not completely clueless, they can and will catch on to your charade.
  • Do not continue acting sick for too long. Your parents could either think it is serious enough for a checkup, or they could easily find out you were lying.
  • Do not fake anything too serious, as it can make your parents too concerned resulting in your parents calling the doctor.
  • Do not put makeup on if you have make up brushes and stuff...your parents might check them.
  • Use only white or almost white powers on your cheeks, and for under-eye circles use a dark brown or red/purple colour.
  • Put something red like ketchup or some kind of liquid near your mouth in bed. When your parents come to wake you up for school, say you haven't been feeling that great and has been coughing up blood.
