Fix Your Car Using Duct Tape

If you have been involved in a minor collision and you want to repair the car yourself, then this will help you.  This guide is for repairing body damage to your car

Steps

  1. Determine if the damaged area is small enough that a duct tape repair will work.
  2. Affix duct tape to the damaged area.
  3. Use scissors to cut the duct tape.
  4. Your repair should look like this, works best on gray cars!
  5. Duct tape will not help in repairing broken headlamps.  Go to your local auto parts store for a new headlamp.



Tips

  • For bigger repairs get more rolls of duct tape.
  • The resale value of your car will improve after a repair of this type.
  • Seal the body of the tape repair with clear nail polish to stop the tape from peeling in the rain/wind
  • Gorilla tape holds up longer

Warnings

  • Will only last 6-9 months.
  • Does not have the same strength as steel or plastic
  • You may be embarrassed if anyone closely inspects your repair
