Fold a Towel Lobster
Using one bath and one hand towel, "Larry the Lobster" can be made in a pinch to impress your house guests... even if they are "claws-trophobic". Cruise lines and bed and breakfast hotels often use towel art to spice up room decoration, while this lobster version could actually be a fun centerpiece for a seafood feast.
Steps
- Lay the bath towel flat.
- Roll both ends to the middle, forming a scroll.
- Pull the corners out of the middle of the rolls.
- Hold the corners of one end of the towel in your right hand.
- Hold the corners of the other end of the towel in your left hand.
- Gently shake and pull the ends apart.
- Lay the whole towel down with the rolled side up.
- Lift one roll to rest on top of the other roll.
- Bend the ends of one end to look more "claw like".
- Lay the hand towel over the "tail" end.
- Make four or five pleats in the towel down the length of the "tail".
- Tuck the sides of the pleats under the rolls of the bath towel on both sides.
- Form the tail by sliding the end in at the center.
- Look, a towel crustacean!
Tips
- Slightly loosen the "scroll" rolls to make pulling easier.
