Get Level 99 Firemaking in RuneScape

Firemaking in RuneScape is a skill that can easily be raised and while working on your woodcutting skill. All you really need are logs. Yes, It's that simple!

Steps

  1. Burn normal logs from level 1 Firemaking until level 15.
  2. Burn oak logs from level 15 to 30.
  3. Burn willow logs from level 30 to 45.
  4. Burn maple logs from level 45 to 60. (Can now be cut down in free-to-play in the Dungeoneering resource island. Maple logs can also be bought in the Grand Exchange in free-to-play.)
  5. Burn yew or maple logs from level 60 to 90. If you cannot afford to spend a lot of money of logs, then using these logs until 99 may be the best bet for you.
    • After about 70 Firemaking, it takes a lot of money to level up. If you have a bunch of money to waste; go ahead, but it's not recommended. Maple logs cost a lot less and give almost as much experience as yew logs. No one ever said that this was easy and it's not but keep on going. It is worth it in the end when you get your new skill cape. For motivation see Motivate Yourself to Get Level 99 in RuneScape.
  6. Burn Elder logs from 90-99. Using these logs with a pyrefiend can help you achieve over 1.3 million exp per hour. These are very expensive however.

Tips

  • Also, always take breaks when you feel bored of firemaking.
  • You can get 99 firemaking for 2.5m if you burn 100,000 maple logs, giving you 13,500,000 exp. You might be able to burn about 1000 logs an hour, so it will take about 100 hours to get 99.
  • Don't use elder, magic or yew logs to get to 99 unless you have an excessive amount of money.
  • Firemake at the Grand Exchange on a bonfire world, great spot.
  • Never give up, you'll get there in the end.
  • If you have about 80-99 Woodcutting it is useful to cut your own yew or magic logs for a lot of experience
  • If you are not concerned about your woodcutting skill, buy the logs instead of chopping them yourself.
  • Just for help if you have headphones, wear them and listen to music (Or an interesting audio book!) while firemaking.
  • World 100 at Shantay Pass is the unofficial world for bonfires, so using this can increase your exp, as the more people using a bonfire the more exp you get.
  • Challenge new and current friends that don't have 99 FM to see who can get it first, or burn the most logs in an hour, obtain the most xp in an hour. (etc.)

Warnings

  • Do not use a bot. Bots will get you banned and most programs of them give you a virus. Botting is easy to notice by a player, not responding/perfect timing between trees and you will get reported within at least 2 hours.
