Get Music off of YouTube to Make a Mix CD

This article will teach how to create a mix CD using music downloaded from YouTube videos.

Steps

Open the YouTube website on a computer. The easiest way to download YouTube music is to use a computer. You'll need a computer to burn it to a blank CD anyway.
Open a song or music video you want to download.
Highlight the video's address in the address bar.
Copy the highlighted address. You can press ⌘ Command+C (Mac) or Ctrl+C (Windows), or you can right-click the highlighted address and select "Copy."
Visit youtube2mp3.cc in your browser. This is just one of many YouTube-to-MP3 converter sites, and the process will be very similar for most of them.
Paste the copied address into the text field. Click the text field and press either ⌘ Command+V (Mac) or Ctrl+V (Windows), or right-click the field and select "Paste."
Click Convert.
Wait while the video converts. This may take a few minutes.
Click the Download button.
Wait while the file downloads. You can monitor the progress in your browser's download manager.
Repeat for additional songs. Find and copy more YouTube addresses into the converter site to download more songs. You can fit up to 80 minutes of music on most blank CDs.

Open iTunes. You can find the iTunes icon in your Dock.
Insert a blank CD.
Click the Libraries menu in the upper-left. This may say Music, Movies, TV Shows, Apps, or whatever library is currently open.
- If your iPhone or iPad is connected and open in iTunes, click the "<" button to return to the main Libraries view.
Click Music. This will display your iTunes music library.
Open the folder containing your downloaded music files. If you didn't move them, you'll find them in your Downloads folder.
Select all of the music files you want to burn to disc. Hold ⌘ Command and click each one in Finder to select them all.
Drag the selected files into the iTunes window. This will add them to your iTunes music library.
Click File → New → Playlist.
Type a name that you'll remember. You can call it something like "Mix CD."
Click Edit Playlist.
Drag your newly-added music to the playlist sidebar. When adding music, remember that you're limited to 80 minutes of music per disc.
Click Done in the playlist sidebar. This will close the playlist.
Click your new playlist in the left sidebar. This will highlight it.
Click File → Burn Playlist to Disc.
Click Audio CD in the Format section.
Ensure Sound Check is enabled. This will automatically level the volume of all of the songs before burning.
Click the Burn button.
Wait while your CD burns. It will eject automatically when it's finished burning.^[1]

Click the Start button. You'll find this in the lower-left corner of your screen.
Type windows media player. This will search for Windows Media Player, which is typically the fastest way to open it.
Click Windows Media Player.
Insert a blank CD.
Click the Burn tab in Windows Media Player. You'll find this on the right side of the window.
- If "Audio CD" is not displayed underneath the drive, click the menu button in the upper-right corner and select "Audio CD."
Open the folder containing your downloaded music. If you didn't move the files after downloading, you'll find them in your Downloads folder.
- To quickly open your Downloads folder, press ⊞ Win+E and then double-click the Downloads folder.
Hold Ctrl and click each music file. This will allow to select all of them.
Drag the selected files into the Burn tab. You'll see the total time at the top of the list of music. Make sure the total time doesn't exceed 80 minutes (74 if you're using a disc that only supports 74 minutes).
Click the Burn list heading. This will allow you to enter a new name for the disc.
Type the name for your disc and press ↵ Enter. This name will appear in players that support CD text and when the disc is inserted into a computer.
Click Start burn. You'll see this at the top of the Burn tab.
Wait while the disc is burned. The tracks you added will appear in the main frame of Windows Media Player, and you'll be able to monitor the progress of the burn.

The quality of the music you get from YouTube probably won't be as good as the quality of your other music.
