Get Your RV Retail Ready
Template:Stub You want to get top dollar for your RV. By investing a little time and money before posting the "For Sale" sign, you can increase your chances of making a successful sale. Cleanliness counts! Looks aren't everything, but they can make the difference between prospective buyers giving your rig just a quick glance, or a thorough look-over. By showing that you care about your RV right down to the last detail you will attract more serious buyers.
Steps
- Repair or replace window treatments (blinds, shades, etc.) that don't work properly.
- Remove personal items from the storage areas and glove box. Clean these areas thoroughly.
- Eliminate any odors with some potpourri or an air freshener.
- Choose whether or not to fix.
- As a general rule, you should make all inexpensive repairs.
- Leave more expensive repairs and services to the new owner and be sure to let potential buyers know of any major repairs needed.
- Use your best judgment.
- Repairs should make sound financial sense. If you're likely to recoup the cost of the repairs through a higher sales price, go ahead with the repairs.
