Have School Pride

Do you want to know how to have school pride? Read this article and find out!

Steps

  1. Go to the sports games and wear your school colors. Go to the games. If your school has a football team, then go to those games. Go to their sporting events and be a fan.
  2. Don't be afraid to support your school, even if they lose. It's your school after all!
  3. Learn your school's cheers, fight song, and anthem so you can cheer with the crowd!
  4. Participate in school activities. Remember, your school has more than just athletics and cheerleading. Some schools have other activities such as 4-H, FCCLA, and FFA. If your school has those activities, Drama club, or other clubs like chess, join those if you want or help with those clubs.
  5. Try to run for class office or SCA. They help make the school a better place. If it is too late to run, talk to the officers and ask if they'd like help.
  6. If you're really enthusiastic, try out to be your school's mascot. Being the mascot can help you feel more pride for your school.
  7. Help produce your school's homecoming game, dance, or parade. You could help run the snack stand! Volunteer for different events. Get involved!
    • Volunteer to work the ticket counter or concession stand at games.
  8. Help create the school's yearbook. Help out with "Spirit Week". Be a part of spirit week and when they take pictures, you'll be ready for book worthy pictures.
  9. Write or take photographs for the student newspaper. Talk with whoever is in charge and see if they have an open spot. They might just need someone.
  10. Design a t-shirt, bumper sticker, button, or key chain for your school, class, or club. If it's a great, you could sell it as a fund raiser for your school, class, or club. Talk with the leaders, get ideas, and go from there.
  11. Tell your friends from other schools why they should go to your school if they're unhappy where they go. Don't pressure them, but give recommended reasons. Your school may have excellent foreign language programs or sports teams, for instance, so be sure to share those with your friends.
  12. Encourage others who show their school spirit. Don’t insist on it, though. Have fun at the spots games. Start the wave! Have fun with your friends.
  13. Make sure to respect other schools. Don't start fights with them. Just be respectful.

Tips
