Have a Devilock
Devilocks are a hairstyle worn by horror punks. The Misfits' bassist, Jerry Only invented this hairstyle, and it is a variant of The Wave. There are two variations of the hairstyle: One is easier to maintain and create if you have medium length hair, around {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} in length, the second is similar to a mohawk and a better choice for those with long hair.
Steps
Variant One
- Shave the hair on the sides and back of your head, but do not make yourself bald. If done properly, you should have something similar to a mushroom cut, but not as neat.
- Cut the hair closest to the shaved area gradually longer.
- Use can of hairspray or some hair wax on your hair.
- Spray or wax the long parts of your hair.
- Bunch all your hair into a point.
Variant Two
- Grow your hair long; {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} is considered a minimum.
- Bend over and make sure as much of your hair as possible hangs in front of your face.
- Spray your hair with hairspray.
- Style your hair into a single lock using your hands.
- Dry your hair with the hair dryer.
Tips
- The Mohawk of the style is an easier Devilock to maintain and keep, but it takes a bit longer to prepare and may seem a bit annoying when you are sleeping.
- As your hair begins to grow, shaved areas may experience awkward hair growth. Trim off any out of place hair with scissors. Once it becomes about as long as your hair was when you began, slick it back using water, wax, or spray.
- Be careful to make your hair even on both sides, symmetry is the hallmark of this haircut.
