Get Curly Hair Using Hair Curlers

Getting curls from hair curlers is breezy simple with this quick method. The advantage of curlers is no prolonged heat and no permanent chemicals but you do have to sleep on them, so make sure you look for comfortable ones! Uncomfortable ones are not good to use.

Steps

  1. Wash your hair; it is most elastic and therefore the easiest to manipulate when totally wet. Make sure the tangles are brushed out of your hair making the curlers more easy to apply.
  2. Put in hair curlers depending on the size you want. For example, for small little tight curls buy tiny little curlers, but for large, almost wavy curls buy large curlers. Make sure you start curling it from the middle so it last all day with more volume like the girl in the picture up top.
  3. Make sure the curlers are aligned, that is, don't stick them on randomly because the curls will then fall in your face or stick out in strange directions. This will make your hair look neater and like it has more volume so its an important step, especially if you have layers in your hair.
  4. Sleep with the curlers in. It's uncomfortable, but worth it. It helps if you buy a head wrap so the curls don't get messed up.
  5. When you wake up, take out the curlers and DON'T BRUSH YOUR HAIR. This is very important, because the curls will get ruined from a hairbrush. Remember, your hair will appear much shorter and the curls will conceal split ends. Make sure to hairspray your hair if you want curls that will last all day long.

Tips

  • Avoid using heat curlers; they dry out hair.
  • Take your time; rushing it won't help.
  • You might want to use a hairspray while the hair is in the curlers.

Warnings

  • Hey, it may not work if you have super thick or super thin hair. Don't get mad. Use a hair curler, one that heats up. And hey, straight hair can actually be cute too!
