Have a Great Day at School

Let's face it–school can be really tough sometimes. But it can also be really fun and educational, in a good way. Do you always have terrible, awful days at school? Well, get your hopes up high now because that's about to change!

Steps

  1. Make sure you have all your homework done for the next day. Also make sure you have signatures of parents or guardians on any slips that need to be signed. Basically, make sure that you do everything that you need to.
  2. Get a good night's sleep. Get in the shower (if needed), brush your teeth, etc. Also, you should try to get in bed around 8:00 to 9:45, depending on your age. Try not to make it past 10 if you can. For breakfast, eat something healthy like cereal or oatmeal.
  3. Dress for the weather. If it's cold outside, dress warmly, being cold all day will definitely not help you have a good day at school. And light and open clothes if it's hot out. Try to wear something comfy. Yet, it might reflect who you are. It's always fun to get a shirt and wear it to school, it gives you a confidence boost and you get complimented a lot!
  4. You should make sure you have all your supplies ready as well. This means having at least one of these things; five pencils, an eraser and a pencil sharpener.
  5. Make sure you get your book bag packed for the next day, you wouldn't want to go to school without your homework or supplies.
  6. Always think to yourself "I'm going to have a good day today. NOTHING is going to spoil it!"

Tips

  • Try to avoid any drama!
  • Ignore all people who make fun of you. You're a great person!
  • Don't try to be cool or impress...it sets you off track and makes you do stupid things for people who are not worth it..be yourself.
  • Stay out of trouble.
  • Listen to your teachers.
  • Follow your school's dress code. A nice polo shirt or sweater or something like that with jeans is a good selection if you want to look cool yet not really rebellious.
  • Talk to your teachers! It can be about the curriculum or not - bring up current movies, school events, the weather (if it's interesting), or whatever comes to mind.
  • Hang with your friends! It's a big part of school! Be really sociable at lunch maybe if only one or two of your friends are in or are sitting with you you can suggest to them that you sit with a bunch of friendly looking people that you have never really socialized with before - you may make some new friends or if you don't at least you'll get a different angle of the cafeteria!
  • Perspective is key. Between the lessons and assignments that are thrown in, school is one big social club that all youth must attend when they become "of age".
  • Keep your mind positive.
  • Keep your clothes ready the night before, so that you don't have to look for a good dress in the morning as it kills so much time . Keep all your lingerie's and other all stuff in just one place so that you don't have to wander around the house to find your stuff. All the best!

Warnings

  • Don't show off, you wouldn't want people to give you "the look" if it is something they can't get/do.
  • Don't ever take any medicine that will make you tired, because if you do, you will be too tired to function. If you are currently taking a medicine that is tuckering you out, talk to your doctor about a change in prescription before school starts.
