Have an Awesome Mom Car

So you've finally got the car that supposedly ends it all. No more envious looks and driving like hell. But having a mom car can be like a warm hug!

Steps

  1. Make sure it smells awesome! Mom cars better smell nice when you get in. It just makes everything so comfortable! There are endless options of how to keep it smelling good. For example, there are sprays like Febreze, or clips, or even the little dangly Christmas trees.
  2. Have a trash can. No mom car ever has trash floating around, but using a regular trash can be a hassle when it falls over and takes up so much space. A great alternative is using a cereal holder. You can buy one at your grocery store or Walmart for a cheap price. They are slim, have a closed top, and can fit in between the passenger seat and the center console.
  3. Keep napkins and wet wipes on hand for all spills. You never know when someone is going to get slippery fingers and cause a mess. Simply ask for extra napkins next time you go through drive through and put them in your console or passenger side compartment.
  4. Always have tissues for those nasty noses. You can keep these with your napkins.
  5. Have  a snack on hands for all times. Fast food isn't healthy for you and it can be expensive. Keep a few bags of pretzels or some other snack in your back seat for the unexpected munchies.
  6. If you are going on a longer drive, bring a small cooler to put drinks or spoilable food. Never leave water bottles in a car to let them get hot. The hot plastic may cause sickness and supposedly causes cancer.
  7. Keep a basket to put the objects you need to bring inside in. Bring the basket in once a week.
  8. Stay clean! Every few weeks, vacuum, Windex, and wipe down the car. Do a thorough cleanse with soap and water on the outside. In between washes, go through a drive through. They aren't the most effective, but they are better than having dirt all over your car.
  9. Have a sun blocker for the summer. If you have leather seats, this is practically a must. After a few hours left in the sun, the leather can be hot enough to burn you.

Tips

  • Great other things to have could be hand sanitizer, a Tide stain stick, some safety pins, a possibly a change of clothes.
  • A small handheld vacuum cleaner can come in handy if you're willing to buy one.
