Keep Your Converse White
It can get really annoying when your pearly white converse get dirty, huh? This is an article about the steps to keeping you beautiful converse white.
Steps
- Get a couple of old bath towels or dish rags (one you don't care about) and place it over your counter, sink, floor, etc. Also get your converse, of course, Q-Tips, cotton balls, and bleach. You might want to wear gloves while doing this.
- Pour a little bleach into an old Tupperware container. Put on your gloves, if you have them, and dip your cotton swab and/or Q-Tip into your bleach.
- Carefully scrub the white part of your Converse shoe. BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET IT ON THE FABRIC!! Take another cotton swab and/or Q-Tip and wipe off the bleach; Do this frequently.
- Take a wet paper towel and make it soapy. Rub down your shoe with it to take off any excess bleach.
- Then wet another paper towel and wipe off the soap suds.
- Dry your shoe with a paper or bath towel.
- Admire your awesome Converse!
Tips
- If you don't have loads of time, wipe them down with a baby wipe. It will get rid of most of the grime, but not really tough stains.
- Another way to whiten the white part and the rubber around the edges is with whitening toothpaste. Get an old toothbrush and some toothpaste, and scrub at the rubber. It will whiten them and help get rid of foot-smell.
- Even though you are wearing gloves, wash your hands with soap afterward, halfway up your arm.
- Don't touch your eyes if you have blench in your hands!
- Avoid getting bleach on your shoes' fabric.
- Have a parent/guardian help if you're too young.
Warnings
- Don't get bleach in your eyes, mouth, and do not smell bleach
- If you get the bleach on your fabric, it will turn an ugly color
