Keep Yourself Occupied on a Train Ride

If your going somewhere, on a train, you might need some way to stay occupied. Like if you sit by a really weird person, how do you survive?

Steps

  1. Sleep. Sleeping, for at least 2-3 hours after you catch the train, is the best way.
  2. Play games: If you are carrying your laptops, iPads etc. Play games on them such as GTA, Call of Duty, Counter Strike, etc. If you like games, now would be the time to take a Play Station Portable, Nintendo DS/DSi/DsiXL etc., and maybe even an iPod. Always use the bathroom before you leave! Otherwise that's all you'll be thinking about. Take you cell phone in case of emergencies or just so you can text friends and family.
  3. Listen to music: listening to music is the best way to spend time.
  4. Read books: Reading books will make you occupied for a long time. Reading novels especially that of mystery would be better as they make the person more curious and therefore spend many hours to read that book.
  5. Spend time with your love ones or travel partners. Make conversation, or even try to meet new people!
  6. Try to sit by yourself. Unless family is with you, try to be independent. Bring a notebook and pen(s). You can make a wikiHow article on there, or just write and draw. Make friends with someone. If they're interesting, get their number so you can see them again. If you can't sit independently, try to make a friend.
  7. Try to get an 1st class seat. If you can afford them, they are very good. They pamper you so much. But if you can't, stay in the affordable zone.
