Make 3 Step Beef Gravy
Here's an easy 3-step recipe for making gravy using beef drippings or just beef base.
Steps
- Take any beef drippings(optional) and bring them to a boil with 1 cup of water and 1 tsp of beef base.
- Mix 1 C of cold water with {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} of flour, then add to the boiling beef stock while slowly stirring.
- Heat on low until desired consistency is achieved.
- Finished.
Tips
- Add some pepper or other seasonings to create a unique taste.
Warnings
- Burnt gravy is very hard to get out of pans.
- Use beef base and not beef bouillon cubes. When buying beef base, make sure the first ingredient listed is beef, not salt. Bouillon cubes are primarily just salt.
